Targeting Laravel for the Initial Release

Creating SDKs for hundreds (thousands?) of programming languages isn't feasible, but we want to provide the best developer experience possible through comprehensive, targeted software development kits. That's why the API is available for any project to use while we focus on building SDKs.
However, we knew from the start that it was essential to dog food our product, so we decided to target PHP and Laravel. This choice was driven by the vocal, passionate community that Zenmanage is a part of and the benefits of using Laravel for our backend. By focusing on Laravel, we can leverage its robust features and extensive community support to deliver a high-quality SDK that meets the needs of our users.
The application's backend is built in Laravel and hosted in AWS using various services. To ensure the best customer experience, we need to answer the following question: How will our software work for everybody else if it doesn't work for us?
Our commitment to continuous improvement and responsiveness to user feedback has led to swift updates to the PHP and Laravel SDKs. While addressing limitations for larger apps with numerous flags, these updates also bring exciting new features. We have ensured that our SDKs are even more scalable and efficient for all applications.
In the upcoming weeks (before rolling out additional SDKs), we plan to roll out more updates to the PHP and Laravel SDK. Included in these updates will be:
- Support for the Laravel cache provider
- Support for webhooks to update flag values
Once the PHP and Laravel SDK are more feature-complete, we are confident in our team's ability to move on to... JAVASCRIPT!!!
